Privacy notice
Written to satisfy POPIA and, more usefully, to be readable.
What we hold about you
Your name, your email address, a one-way hash of your password (nobody, including the administrator, can read the password back), sign-in records, and which parts of SynthPort you use, counted per day. Your portfolios and models live in your own private instance and are visible to no other user.
Why we hold it
To let you in, to keep everyone else out, and to run the service — knowing which features are used, spotting break-in attempts, and stopping idle instances. Nothing here is sold, shared, or used for marketing.
How long, and where
Detailed access records age out with log rotation, roughly a month. Account details last as long as your account. Encrypted backups are kept on a rolling schedule and expire automatically. Everything is hosted in South Africa.
Your rights
Ask the administrator to show you what's held about you, correct it, or delete your account and its data. Deactivation is immediate; deletion of your instance data is a separate, explicit step so nothing valuable disappears by accident.
